The Effects of Partially Slatted Floor Designs on Some Early Behavioral Traits in Broiler Chicks

چکیده
This study was carried out to determine the effects of different levels slatted floor applications on some early behavioral characteristics broiler chickens. In this study, male-female mixed 600 fast-growing chicks (Ross308) were used. The experiment consisted five treatment groups with 120 each (7 chicks/m2): fully littered, slatted, ½ littered+½ 1/3 littered+2/3 2/3 littered+1/3 slatted. feeding, drinking, resting, aggregation, other behaviors, and preferences evaluated three times a day (at 9.00, 13.00, 17.00 h) at 2, 5, 9 11 days age. Each trait expressed as percentage total number showing relevant behavior pen level. Different designs significantly affected chicks' aggregation behavior, preference for being (P < 0.05). Feeding higher in reared than others 0.001). resting highest application = 64.42% 47.53% those 36.38% raised preferred use floor. feeding 5 (16.12%) 2 d-old (15.73%) Resting (78.72%), (76.89%), (72.82%) age conclusion, revealed that affect chick period. Since it is known rearing conditions later performance broilers, systems can be an effective tool better production.

Comparison of Ammonia and Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Fattening Pigs Kept Either on Partially Slatted Floor in Cold Conditions or on Fully Slatted Floor in Thermoneutral Conditions
Continuous measurements of ammonia and greenhouses gases were achieved on exhaust air from two fattening rooms differing by the type of floor (totally slatted floor vs. partially slatted floor) and the ambient temperature. Temperature was regulated at 18°C in the room with partially slatted floor (room PSF18) and 24°C in the room with fully slatted floor (FSF24). Pigs were fed ad libitum. Daily...

15 صفحه اولEarly lysine deficiency in young broiler chicks.
The carry-over effect of a pre-starter diet (0 to 3 days of age) deficient in lysine on subsequent growth and body composition (3 to 10 days) was examined in two experiments on male broiler chicks raised in cages. In experiment 1, lysine deficiency was applied from 3 to 10 days after providing a balanced pre-starter control feed (D+, 1.40% lysine) or a lysine deficient feed (D-) during the firs...
